In 1991 Michael was invited to work on a solo exhibition at the Gallery Morphi, Limassol. As Artist in Residence he produced ‘The Cyprus Works’ reflecting place, without his usual studio materials. Making use of found items, waste and the discards of the town itself as base components for conversion into the riches of art, Michael produced a series of Cyprus centric assemblage pieces and pure sculpture that were exhibited in April 1992
